About Danielle Fragoso

I am one of the lucky ones. I have found a profession that I love and couldn't picture my life without.
In 1995, I graduated college with a BA in Hispanic Studies and a BS in Elementary and Special Education and I knew I wanted to teach in the inner city. I followed my dreams and taught in New Haven, teaching a self contained class of students with varying disabilities. I continued to follow my dreams, and procured a teaching position at a world renowned school for students with learning disabilities in CA, where I was able to work with the greats in the field. Since then, I have had the privilege of working at a number of schools, including a top 200 school in the nation. While working at Santa Monica High School, I also developed and implemented a program for students with emotional disabilities. This led me to another specialization that I love, working with students with emotional disabilities. While teaching these students in self-contained special education classes, it was clear that learning disabilities and executive functioning issues were clearly prevalent as well.
I am currently a special education teacher at a local shoreline high school providing special education services through a resource support model.
My years of varying experiences have given me the tools to help those students who need the individualized support. And coupled with my love of teaching and helping ALL students to learn and reach their true potential, I am excited to offer my services through the educational therapy model.
